Former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy expressed his curiosity about how Congress would fulfill their five key poll promises and the attached conditions.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday at Channapatna, he acknowledged that the Congress’ guarantees, such as small schemes offering Rs 2,000, had enticed voters more than his party’s Janata Dal (Secular) “Pancharatna” program. Kumaraswamy admitted that his party’s efforts to popularize their five-point program did not attract people. He acknowledged that the Congress’ experienced team must have made calculations for the success of their guarantees, which include free electricity and monthly financial support for women heads of households.
