Former CM HD Kumaraswamy has denied speculations that he would contest from two assembly seats in the upcoming elections, clarifying that he will only contest from one seat.
Speaking to reporters, he confirmed that he will be contesting from the Channapatna assembly constituency and not from any other constituency, including Mandya. Kumaraswamy dismissed the rumors saying that they were untrue.

Kumaraswamy addressed film star Ramya as his “sister” without taking her name. “Rumours are also being spread that my young sister will contest the election from Channapatna, and I am not at all worried about it,” he said and added that a party worker would contest the election from Mandya and that he had already completed his state tour and only needs to put on the final touches.
