Hubballi: An electronics manufacturing cluster is set to be established in the Kotur and Belur Industrial Area of Dharwad, the union government has given its consent for this.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi shared this news on his social media accounts. The project has been sanctioned under the Modified Electronics Manufacturing Clusters (EMC 2.0) scheme of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
The manufacturing cluster will be built on 224.50 acres of land and will cost 179 crore rupees, excluding the cost of the land. The central government will provide assistance of Rs 89.57 crore towards the project. The establishment of the cluster is expected to attract 1,500 crore rupees in investment and create 18,000 employment opportunities, thereby contributing to the growth of the economy of both the district and the state.
