Hubballi: Is Covid second wave is subsiding? The figures say so, on Monday, Dharwad district reported 291 fresh Covid positive cases. This is the first time that in the second wave of the pandemic that the district has reported less than 300 positive cases in a day.
Another good news is that on the same day, 792 patients cured of the infection and discharged. Worrying thing is that 559 patients are still in the ICU fighting against the infection and 10 patients died because of the infection.
The district has 5,757 active cases, and it shows that the strict lockdown is showing its results. The administration says that they are testing over 3,000 samples every day and with each passing day the positivity rate is declining.
