Quick Action by Gokul Road Police Leads to Arrest of Five Accused in Murder Case.
Hubballi: Within six hours of the murder of Sushant Nagappa Dandoli, 28, on Sunday night in an open plot on Gokul Road, the Gokul Road police have arrested five suspects and solved the case.
The accused, all residents of Gangadhar Nagar, were identified as Rahul Chandrashekhar Gokak, Mahesh Iranna Barker, Sandeep Shivaputrappa Lokapur, Laxman Parshuram Ballari, and Pavan Krishna Gokak.
According to Inspector JM Kalimirchi, the suspects were denied entry into the Ice Cube, a bar, and restaurant attached to the Cubix hotel, and decided to have a liquor party in an open plot opposite Denissons Hotel instead. They called the victim to the spot, had a verbal altercation with him, and then killed him by smashing his head with a brick.
Although the exact reason for the murder is still unknown, Kalimirchi stated that Sushant and Rahul Gokak’s wives were sisters, and they were relatives. It is suspected that the murder may have been motivated by some family-related issue. However, the investigation is ongoing.
