Gokul Road police prevents a crime, arrests three accused with a sword


Hubballi: The Gokul Road police have prevented a crime by arresting three accused who were waiting for someone in an auto-rickshaw while holding a sword near Yatri Bar and Restaurant on Gokul Road on Saturday morning.

On a definite tip-off, Gokul Road Inspector JM Kalimirchi and his team arrested the accused. The arrested have been identified as Gautambuddhananda Bhavikatti, Vijay Bhovi, and Irappa Kale, all are residents of Maruti Nagar in the Heggeri area of Old Hubballi. The police said that they planned to attack someone with the sword and were waiting for that man near the Yatri Bar and Restaurant. The police did not reveal who the man was they were planning to target or the reason for it. They said revealing this information could hamper the investigation. They have registered a case.

PSI Devendra Mavinadandi, police staff YB Morab, LY Naik, Mahesh Bennur, and others were part of the team that made these arrests.
