Hubballi: Girish Gadigeppagoudar, an expelled member of the Congress party, has launched a scathing attack on former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, who recently joined the Congress party. Gadigeppagoudar has blamed Shettar for the party’s decision to expel him.
Gadigeppagoudar claimed that he was the first person to welcome Shettar into the party, but in a recent meeting held four to five days ago, Shettar criticized the party’s lack of discipline and suggested taking cues from his close confidant, Nagesh Kalaburgi. This criticism caused discomfort among party workers, according to Gadigeppagoudar.
Furthermore, Gadigeppagoudar expressed objection to a statement made by KPCC Vice President PV Mohan, who had suggested that Shettar could become Chief Minister like Veerendra Patil and Siddaramaiah who joined the party in the later part of their political career. Meanwhile, Vidyanagar block Congress President Rajat Ullagaddimath claimed that Shettar would become Chief Minister, but the party took action against him instead of Rajat or PV Mohan, who made the statement in violation of party discipline, according to him.
