GBS College conducts an MBA pedagogy workshop.

HUBBALLI: Global Business School (GBS), in association with KIMS, conducted a Pedagogy workshop for 1st and 3rd semester MBA students for the revision and enhancement of the MBA syllabus for its compulsory subjects: General Management, Human Resources, Marketing, and Finance streams.

Domain experts from various management institutions affiliated with Karnatak University, Dharwad deliberated on the subjects which require industry-relevant inputs to be incorporated for enriching the curriculum and preparing the management students to be industry-ready.

In order to bridge the expectations of the corporate world, Mr. Samson, CEO, Manson Smith Pvt. Ltd., MsCharu Gupta, CFO and Co-Founder, UrSmartSpoc, Bangalore, Mr. Bevan Hogg, CEO & Founder, UrSmartSpoc, and Mr. Austin, Senior Trainer, UrSmartSpoc, from thecorporate world were engaged in the workshop along with the faculty for their suggestions to make the curriculum robust and industry-oriented.

Dr. Tejas Vyas, Director, Global Business School, welcomed the guests and addressed the gathering about the importance and need for the workshop.

Dr. M S Subhas, former Vice-Chancellor – VSKU, Bellary informed the gathering that the pedagogy workshop is conducted every year regularly by the Kousali Institute of Management Studies, KUD which is a best practice to emulate by other universities and keep the curriculum reviewed and updated on par with the contemporary practices and expectations of the corporate world.

Dr. A M Kadakol, the newly appointed Director of the Kousali Institute of Management Studies, KUD, addressed the august gathering to incorporate the outcomes of the pedagogy workshop into the curriculum.

Dr. R. R. Kulkarni, Dean, KIMS, gave the inputs regarding the NEP and the challenges ahead for all management institutions to come forward and play a key role in nurturing their respective institutions at par with the NEP standards, following the bloom taxonomy model of learning and incorporating the same into the enhancement of the curriculum.

Dr. M. N. Manik, Dean, Global Business School, Hubballi, thanked the academicians for their participation in the workshop.
