On Friday, the Garag police intercepted a car near the Tegur checkpost that was travelling from Belagavi to Hubballi. Upon inspection, they discovered Rs 53 lakh in cash being transported without proper documentation.
The driver of the car was identified as Sanjeev Hiremath. Further investigation is underway, and the police have not disclosed any additional details at this time.
