Hubballi: Former minister and founder of Kalyana Rajya Pragati Paksha (KRPP), Gali Janaradhana Reddy has been in state politics for three decades, and has yet to decide on rejoining the BJP. He has an old relationship with the BJP, which is true. He has not yet announced his decision, and he may take a suitable decision, said Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking to reporters here on Friday, Bommai reacted to the question about Gali Janardhana Reddy joining the BJP again, saying it is up to Reddy to make a suitable decision.
On Mandya MP Sumalatha joining the party, Bommai said he will reveal her decision today. She had multiple rounds of discussion with the party leaders, and she also met BJP National President J. P. Nadda. She will reveal her final decision today (Friday).
Lashing out at Congress state president DK Shivakumar for his comment that the BJP may win 65 seats, the CM said he is probably saying that his party will get 65 seats.
On Yediyurappa’s statement
Bommai said that the allocation of tickets was based on several factors and that, considering all the aspects, Yediyurappa was on the central parliamentary board. He might have said this based on his political experience, but it is not correct to say that all the MLAs get the ticket and to say that they will not get one.
