Gadag: In a tragic incident in the Cholin Oni area of Gajendragad town, Gadag district, a woman lost her life after being attacked by stray dogs, according to a report.
The report said, the victim has been identified as Premavva Sharanappa Cholin, 52. She had gone out to pick flowers for a prayer ritual when a pack of stray dogs suddenly attacked her.
She fell to the ground during the attack and died on the spot.
Outraged by the growing menace of stray dogs, local residents expressed their anger toward the Gajendragad municipal authorities. They staged a protest by placing the woman’s body on the street, demanding immediate action to capture and control the stray dog population.
