Doctors of Dandappa Manvi Maternity Hospital in Gadag have successfully saved a baby by performing a cesarean section on the mother who died while shifting to the hospital.
Though this incident happened on November 4, it came to media light on November 12. The efforts of doctors are being hailed by everyone. Minister CC Patil praised the efforts of doctors who saved the infant by successfully doing a C-section on the mother who died because of pregnancy-related complications.
Speaking to www.hubliexpress.com, gynecologist Dr. Shruti Patil said that the mother suffered multiple seizures and when she arrived at the hospital her condition was critical and she was on the death stage. The doctors tried to save her but it was too late.
“The doctors diagnosed the baby was alive, and they immediately operated on her and retrieved the baby,” said Dr. Shruti.
“When the baby was retrieved, the baby did not cry, and the pediatricians put their efforts into saving her. Now the baby is doing fine,” said the doctor.
