G20 Leaders Pay Homage to Mahatma at Rajghat, Tree Planting and ‘One Future’ Session’ Today

New Delhi, Hubli Express News: The G20 members paid their respects to Mahatma Gandhi during their visit to Rajghat. On the second day of the summit, they laid wreaths at Mahatma Gandhi Samadhi before proceeding to Bharat Mandapam for a tree planting ceremony at the Mandapam’s south plaza.

The third session of the summit, titled ‘One Future,’ took place, followed by the adoption of the New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration. Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared an image of G20 leaders honoring Mahatma Gandhi at the iconic Rajghat, emphasizing Gandhi Ji’s enduring principles of peace, service, compassion, and non-violence as guiding the collective vision for a harmonious, inclusive, and prosperous global future.

Later in the day, the G20 leaders and 170 guests gathered at Bharat Mandapam for a dinner hosted by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu. Here’s an overview of what was on the agenda for the second day of the G20 Summit:

The G20 Summit, hosted by India, commenced at the Bharat Mandapam on Saturday and will conclude on Sunday. Day one of the summit, which took place on September 9th, saw significant developments, including the adoption of the New Delhi Leadership Declaration, the announcement of a substantial economic corridor spanning India, the Middle East, and Europe, and the formal inclusion of the African Union (AU) as a permanent member of the Group of 20.
