Hubballi: A Regional Forensic Science Lab will start functioning in Hubballi, informed Police Commissioner Labhu Ram.
Speaking to media persons here on Monday, Ram said that they have identified an NWKRTC building for the lab on Gokul Road. Senior officials such as ADGP (Crime and Technical Service) and Director FSL visited the building recently, and the lab will start functioning shortly, he said.
According to the sources, the lab in Hubballi will have five divisions. At a function in Hubballi a few months ago, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced the government’s intention of starting FSL labs in every district.
