Hubballi: The South Western Railway has offered free entry to all girls accompanied by a guardian or parent to the Hubballi Railway Museum, on Gadag Road on January 24 (Tomorrow, Tuesday). The Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India observes ‘National Girl Child Day’ every year on 24th January. The main objective of this day is to work towards the empowerment of girls in our society and eradicating inequalities faced by them.
Hence to mark occasion, the SWR is allowing free entry to girls to the museum from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on that day. Eatable items are not permitted inside the museum premises, said railway officials.
The regular working hours for the museum are as follows: Normal days (Tuesday to Friday) 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Weekends and public holidays from 12 p.m. to 8 pm. Every Monday is a holiday.
