Former MP, and KPCC working president R. Dhruvanarayan, 62, passed away on Saturday morning in Mysuru due to cardiac arrest, sources said.
Dhruvanarayan returned from Bengaluru on Friday and was supposed to return on Saturday he was busy with Congress party campaign-related work.
Dhruvanarayan was one of the Congress party’s candidates for the Nanjangud Assembly constituency in Mysuru in the upcoming elections. He is survived by his wife and two boys. CM Basavaraj Bommai, Leader of the Opposition in Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah and KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar expressed shock at the untimely death of the leader, Dhruvanarayan was a prominent face of the party in the old Mysuru region.
CM Bommai said Dhruvanarayan’s funeral would be conducted with government honour, according to the sources his funeral would be held at Heggawadi village in Chamarajanagar tomorrow afternoon.
