Former MLA from Khanapur Arvind Patil formally joined BJP in the presence of State BJP chief Nalinkumar Kateel in Belagavi on Monday.
Patil who was elected as MLA from MES has officially joined the BJP, though the news of him changing party doing rounds for the last few months. Patil, a follower of Minister Laxman Savadi joined the party in his presence.
Sources said he worked actively for the BJP in the recently held MLC election and Goa Assembly election.
Former MLA Mahantesh Kavatagimath, Deputy Speaker Anand Mamani, Kittur MLA Mahantesh Dodagoudar, and others were present during the event.
