Hubballi: Former Minister Vinay Kulkarni has expressed confidence that he will emerge victorious in the upcoming assembly election, even if he cannot physically enter his constituency.
Kulkarni has been barred from entering the Dharwad district in connection with the murder of Zilla Panchayat member Yogish Gowda. However, he remains hopeful that his constituency will vote in his favor.
In a statement to Hubli Express, Kulkarni revealed that he plans to appeal to the court to allow him to visit his constituency for campaign purposes. He also stated that the people of Dharwad Rural have already made up their minds to vote for him and send the BJP candidate packing.
Vinay Kulkarni went on to explain that while the party initially requested that he contest from Shiggaon and his wife from Dharwad Rural, he ultimately received the ticket to contest from the Dharwad Rural constituency. He expressed gratitude to the party leaders for giving him this opportunity to run in the election.
It remains to be seen whether Kulkarni’s confidence will translate into victory, given the legal restrictions placed on his movement. However, the former minister seems determined to make the best of the situation and win over voters with his message.
