Former Deputy CM Laxman Savadi created a political buzz as he flew from Belagavi’s Sambra airport to Bengaluru in a special flight on Friday.
Notably, he was accompanied by Channaraj Hattiholi, a Congress MLC and the brother of Congress MLA Laxmi Hebbalkar. This development comes after Savadi was denied a BJP ticket to contest from Athani assembly constituency, with the ticket being awarded to Mahesh Kumathalli, a close aide of former minister Ramesh Jarakiholi, which reportedly left Savadi upset.
It remains to be seen whether Savadi will resign from his MLC post and join the Congress party, as speculations abound in the political circles of Karnataka.
