Jaipur: On Friday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot read the previous budget address for about eight minutes before being stopped. He was eventually halted by the chief whip.
An uproar was created by the opposition, and they all trooped to the well of the Assembly over the issue. The house was adjourned for 30 minutes, according to local media reports.
ANI tweeted for CM Raje’s statement, “For 8 minutes, CM kept reading the old budget.” When I was the CM, I used to repeatedly check and read before presenting the budget. You can imagine how safe the state is in the hands of a CM who reads out an old budget.”
The BJP leaders claimed that this budget could not be presented, claiming that it was leaked. But later, the CM presented the budget.
