Hubballi: According to Deputy Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde, the voting in Dharwad district has ended with a final voter turnout of 73.19%. Kundagol Assembly constituency recorded the highest voting percentage at 82.82%. This indicates a close contest between BJP’s MR Patil, Congress candidate Kusumavathi Shivalli, and independent candidate SI Chikkangoudar. The results will be announced on May 13th.
Navalgund and Dharwad constituencies witnessed the same voting percentage of 76.99%, while Hubballi-Dharwad (East) recorded 70.74% voting. The high-voltage constituency of Hubballi-Dharwad Central recorded the lowest voting percentage among the seven constituencies, with only 64.30% voter turnout. Hubballi-Dharwad (West) also recorded a low percentage of voting with 64.33%, while another high voltage constituency, Kalaghatagi, polled 81.78% voting.
