Farmer hit by DyCM Son’s car, dies

Hungund: A farmer died in a hospital on Tuesday after being hit by the speeding car of Chidanand Savadi, son of Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi.

The accident happened at Devalapur Cross, Hungund taluk

Koodappa, a 56-year-old Hungund resident, died.

Although Savadi confessed that his car was involved in the accident, he claimed that he was not in it at the time. He claimed that he was in another car with a friend when the accident occurred; he claimed that he was not behind the wheel of that car at the time the accident occurred.

Savadi and his friends were returning to Athani from the Anjanadri hills in Koppal district when the accident occurred. A case has been filed in this regard by the Hungund police.
