Hubballi: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis made an appearance in Hubballi-Dharwad on Friday to campaign for the BJP candidate Mahesh Tenginkai in the upcoming assembly election.
Addressing the Patidar Samaj here on Friday, Fadnavis urged voters to support Tenginkai and ensure that the development work in the state continues at the same pace.
Focusing largely on the achievements of the Central government, Fadnavis requested voters to vote for a double-engine government and give a strong message to the Congress party, which intends to ban the patriotic organization Bajrang Dal.
While he praised Tenginkai as a good worker who thinks about the betterment of society, Fadnavis made no criticism of the incumbent MLA Jagadish Shettar throughout his 25-minute speech. The Congress party has accused the BJP of failing to address local issues and relying solely on the achievements of the Central government to woo voters.
