Hubballi: The scorching heat in North Karnataka is expected to persist for the next few days, according to Dr. RH Patil, the principal nodal officer of the GKMS Unit at UAS Dharwad. Unfortunately, there will be no relief from the high temperatures during this period. However, there is a possibility of light to medium rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds in a few places across the north interior part of Karnataka for the next five days.
Over the next three days, there is a favorable outlook for the movement of the northwest monsoon in the Bay of Bengal, Andaman, and Nicobar Islands. The speed at which the monsoon progresses will be closely monitored. Dr. Patil advised farmers to prepare their farms for sowing and consider alternative crops if the arrival of the monsoon is delayed. Updates on the monsoon will be provided to the farming community as soon as they become available. He requested farmers to plan their farming activities based on the weather forecasts.
