Gadag: Excise officers raided three agricultural fields and found plants of ganja cultivated among crops in Gadag taluk. During the raid, officers seized 25 kg of marijuana plants. They have booked the ganja cultivators under the NDPS Act.
The Excise department conducted a raid on three agricultural fields in Madaganur and Belahood village limits in Gadag taluk on Friday morning based on a specific tip-off.
The seized ganja plants were valued at roughly Rs 2.45 lakhs, according to the staff. The accused grew the ganja plants amid crops.
Ravindra, Excise Deputy Commissioner, led the raid. Officials from the department of Manjunath Malipatil, Narayansa Pawar, Shainaz Begum, and others were part of this raid, said department sources.
