Eight students from Shanti Niketan School and three more students from St. Anthony’s Public School test positive for COVID.

Hubballi: As many as eight students of Shanti Niketan School, located in the Ghantikeri area of the city, tested positive for the novel coronavirus, and three more students of St. Anthony’s Public School tested positive for the infection.

DDPI SS Keladimath said all these students of Shanti Niketan School were asymptomatic and tested positive during random tests for the infection.

Officials said that three more new cases were reported from St. Anthony’s Public School. Seven students already tested positive from that school, and with these three cases, a total of 10 students tested positive.

These two schools were sealed down and will remain closed till further order from the district administration, said, officers.
