Hubballi: Reputed neuropsychiatrist Dr. Alok Kulkarni was awarded the world’s most prestigious degree of M.R.C.P. (psychiatry) in London. There are very few neuropsychiatrists in the country who possess the qualifications of both M.D. and M.R.C.P., and Dr. Alok has joined them.
He is the only neuropsychiatrist in North Karnataka to possess these dual degrees. Dr. Alok has been a very meritorious and brilliant student right from his school and college days. A prolific writer, Dr. Alok’s invited articles and columns have been published in the nation’s reputed English magazines and dailies like “The Week,”, “Wire,” and others. Dr. Alok is a recipient of the Dr. SS Jayaram Award from the Karnatak Psychiatric Society for his writing skills. He has been conferred the “international Arya Bhat award.”
The president of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Dr. James Adrian, recently presented the Dr. Alok M.R.C.P. (psychiatry) award in London at a grand function. Dr. Alok is the son of reputed neuropsychiatrist Dr. Vinod Kulkarni.
