Hubballi: The state government has announced an extension of the 50% discount on traffic violation fines for another 15 days starting from March 4. This decision was made due to the positive response received from commuters who took advantage of the previous offer to clear their traffic dues.
Even in Hubballi-Dharwad, many commuters paid their pending traffic fines resulting in a collection of Rs. 73 lakh by the police. The previous 50% discount offer, which was initially implemented on February 2 and valid only until February 11, proved to be successful in encouraging people to pay their fines.
