Don’t behave like Rahul Gandhi, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi advises Siddaramaiah

Hubballi: Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Mines and Coal Pralhad Joshi Lashed out at Leader of the Opposition in Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah for criticizing 100 crore jabs milestone.

He said it is a tragedy that the Congresspeople have lost the mindset of celebrating the country’s achievement. As a country it is a remarkable achievement, administering 100 crore doses that too in nine months is an incredible achievement. The world is hailing the effort, even Microsoft co-founder Bill Gate hailed India’s achievement and tweeted about it. It is unfortunate that Congress has such leaders like Siddaramaiah who are criticizing the achievement and they don’t want to celebrate the country’s achievement.

“My only request to Siddaramaiah and Congress leaders not to behave like former AICC chief Rahul Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi does not understand facts, things, data, but why you people behaving like him,” he asked.

“ We are not expecting you people ( Congress) to give credit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this, and we are also not expecting it and Narendra Modi himself not expecting but you can give credit to nation,” said Joshi.

The union minister said that in the entire world 700 crores of doses have been administered of which India administered 100 crore doses is it not a matter of celebration, he asked. “ I don’t know from where Siddaramaiah got the data, but we have administered 100 crore beneficiaries with single-dose and more 31 crore beneficiaries with two doses of Covid vaccine,” claimed Joshi.

Union Minister said there is no crisis of coal in the country as of now, there was some problem in between, now we are supplying 2.1 million tonnes of coal per day which is a record. It takes 4-5 days to pile up stock, time need only to pile up stock and other than that there is no crisis of stock.

Commenting on the allegation by the opposition party that the BJP is distributing money to lure the voters, Joshi said that the allegation is baseless and false.

Regarding the violence on Hindus in Bangladesh, Joshi said the Government of India is in constant touch with Bangladesh Government and the Union Government is committed to protecting the interest of minority Hindus in that country and the Government of Bangladesh has assured that these kinds of incidents would not happen in the future.

To a question, whether this incident of Bangladesh justified the BJP’s sand on CAA, Joshi said “ I won’t say CAA justification with any one incident, CAA is historically justified.”
