New Delhi: (HS): KPCC Chief DK Shivakumar has reached a resolution in the intense five-day power struggle and has agreed to be sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister on May 20. Reports suggest that Shivakumar’s decision has been influenced by Sonia Gandhi’s intervention.
Both Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar finally sat together, the leaders were holding meetings with the senior leaders separately. Both leaders reached KC Venugopal’s house in Lodhi Estate for breakfast, after the meeting both leaders left Venugopal’s house in a car together.
However, DK Suresh, the brother of DK Shivakumar, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the outcome, stating that it falls short of his expectations.
“While I am not entirely satisfied with DK Shivakumar assuming the role of Deputy Chief Minister, we must honor our commitments in the best interest of the people of Karnataka. That is why Shivakumar has accepted the position. Personally, I had hoped for him to become the Chief Minister, but that hasn’t happened. There is still time, and we will remain patient,” said MP DK Suresh in a media statement.
