On Tuesday, an eagle hit the helicopter carrying KPCC President DK Shivakumar while he was en route to address an election rally in Mulabagilu.
Despite the collision, the helicopter managed to land safely at HAL Airport, as confirmed by Congress party leaders.
The chopper had taken off from Jakkur airport but had to make an emergency landing at HAL airport following the incident.
According to sources within the Congress party, one of the individuals accompanying Shivkumar sustained minor injuries.
