New Delhi: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah is expected to return to Bengaluru this evening, as per sources. He met Rahul Gandhi at his residence and had a discussion with him. After Siddaramaiah, KPCC president DK Shivakumar met Rahul Gandhi and AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge.
While DK Shivakumar criticized the media for spreading unverified news and gossip, he refrained from disclosing the details of the discussions held at Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence.
Congress senior leader Randeep Surjewala clarified that the party has yet to finalize a candidate for the chief minister’s position, and discussions are ongoing. He urged the media not to rely on hearsay or spread fake news. The announcement of the CLP leader is expected from the AICC chief in the near future, and the formation of the new cabinet is anticipated to take place within the next 48-72 hours.
