Bengaluru: KPCC president DK Shivakumar has clarified that no one from the opposition parties approached him seeking to join the Congress party.
Speaking to reporters, DK Shivakumar said that, not taking the name of Minister V Somanna, “No one approached me about joining the party. All are busy with their party work, and all these are just rumours.”
Somanna has not openly said that he was planning to join the Congress, but media outlets have been reporting that the minister will join the grand-old party and was seeking a Govindraj Nagar ticket to contest the election.
Meanwhile, former CM and BJP veteran B S Yediyurappa has said that no one, including Somanna and KC Narayana Gowda, will quit the BJP; he said he would meet them and talk to them personally once he reaches Bengaluru.
