Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President DK Shivakumar has called for Karnataka bandh on March 9 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The purpose of the bandh is to gather public support to eliminate the allegedly corrupt state BJP government.
During the two-hour bandh, emergency services such as health, medical, hospitals, petrol bunks, schools, and colleges will not be disrupted. Shivakumar has requested the cooperation of all associations and organizations to make the state corruption-free.
He said the Congress party has been doing its job as the opposition party by repeatedly drawing attention to the BJP government’s alleged corruption practices in the state. Shivakumar has accused the BJP of bringing disrespect to the entire state.
Shivakumar said that to allegations of corruption, CM Bommai has asked him to provide evidence of corruption, while the president of the Contractors Association has written a letter to PM Modi. And  Modi has not responded to the letter but has previously stated that he will not tolerate corruption.
Shivakumar has claimed that thousands of people are suffering from the corruption of the state government, and the Lokayukta officials have given the witness requested by the CM. He has demanded that the CM take moral responsibility and resign.
