Dharwad district recorded zero COVID positive cases on Tuesday, according to District Health Officer Dr BC Karigoudar.
According to sources, the district continued to report COVID cases at the start of the third wave, and at one point, the district reported 1,500 cases in a single day.
COVID cases began to diminish as a result of healthcare workers’ efforts and success in administering the COVID vaccine to beneficiaries, and the district now has zero cases, according to Dr. Karigoudar. He said the district reported zero COVID cases on November 28, 2021.
The administration, led by the Deputy Commissioner, worked tirelessly to prevent the spread of the novel Coronavirus. According to Dr. Karigoudar, the Deputy Commissioner’s fast and swift decisions aided in bending the infection’s third wave curve.
The DHO informed us that the district had achieved 100 percent immunization of children under the age of five with two drops of polio vaccine. By delivering the polio vaccination to 2,13,263 children, the district exceeded its goal of 100% coverage. He stated that the goal was 2,13, 014.
