Hubballi: Former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has suggested that ministers be given home districts to manage, which would result in better administration and faster progress on development projects.
Reacting to the growing dissatisfaction among the ministers that they were not given their home districts to manage, “The decision to appoint outsiders as the district in-charge ministers was taken to strengthen the party, but the party will suffer a bit because of this decision,” he said, stressing that it was his personal opinion.
But this decision to appoint outsiders as the district in charge will not have any effect on upcoming elections, he said.
Reacting to the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly, Siddaramaiah’s statement that many BJP leaders are planning to join the Congress, Shettar said, “Siddaramaiah always says that, but so far no BJP leader has joined the Congress, but many Congress leaders and former MLAs have joined and in future, a few more will join the BJP.”
There is no greater fool than someone who joins the Congress. If it is true that BJP leaders are considering joining the Congress, Shettar challenges Congress leaders to reveal the names.
