Hubballi: Nagaraj Chabbi, a former Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) and Congress party ticket aspirant from Kalaghatagi constituency, has said that he has decided to leave the Congress party.
Nagaraj Chabbi expressed his disappointment with the party’s decision to award the ticket to former minister Santosh Lad, stating that he had invested a significant amount of time and effort in preparing to contest from Kalaghatagi.
In a phone interview with hubliexpress.com from Delhi, Chabbi shared that his next move will be disclosed after he has discussed it with his fans, followers, and supporters in Kalaghatagi. He emphasized that he was resolute in his decision to leave the Congress party, adding that he had initiated preparations at the urging of party leaders, but the recent announcement had left him feeling let down.
Chabbi did not reveal his plans to join any other party, stating that he would announce them after meeting with the people in the Kalaghatagi constituency.
