Udupi, by Hubli Express News Service: Rumours circulated that former CM and MLC, Jagadish Shettar, had received a phone call from Home Minister Amit Shah. Local reports indicated that the purported call took place on Friday, lasting around 10 minutes.
Local media reported that Shah allegedly called Shettar and with a possibility of convincing the veteran leader to rejoin the party who quit during the Assembly election,
Addressing the rumors, Shettar clarified his stance , speaking to reporters in Udupi, he said that he had not received a call either from Amit Shah or anyone in the BJP. He firmly stated that he is presently a member of the Congress party and Congressman.
