Dharwad: The Garag police have arrested six accused who were prepared to execute a robbery on NH 48 near Prajavani press in the wee hours of Sunday. The police recovered a knife, rods, chilli powder packets, and sticks from the accused.
The arrested have been identified as Mabu Subani Fakrusab Utsad, 19, laborer; Sohail Davalsab Hudedmani, 21, painter; Ajeem Bakshesab Roddannavar, 20, laborer; Basavaraj Madivalappa Ingalagi, driver, Madivalappa Laxman Naikar, 26, laborer; Shivanand Madivalappa Shigali, 23, driver; all the accused are residents of Kotur village in Dharwad Taluk, said the police.
The police have registered a case against the accused under IPC sections 399 and 402.
