Hubballi: Dharwad district has reported 790 new COVID positive cases on Saturday. With this, the total positive cases touched 3,571. Seven patients were admitted to the ICU, and one patient from Shivagiri succumbed to the infection. The 82-year-old male patient was admitted to KIMS Hospital in Hubballi following an influenza-like illness. The patient was diabetic, hypertensive, and had congenital heart defects.
On Saturday, COVID numbers fell dramatically to 17,000 in Bengaluru. The state reported 42,470 new cases, Bengaluru reported 17,266 cases. The COVID positivity rate remained at 19.33%. 26 patients died due to COVID in the state today, the health bulletin said.
