Bengaluru: Will Karnataka go for stricter lockdown measures in the days to come? Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai hinted at the possibilities of implementing this measure on Thursday in a press conference.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Mr. Bommai said that Covid cases are rapidly increasing in the rural areas and Deputy Commissioners of various districts are taking strict measures to curb the spreading of novel Coronavirus infection. The people should understand the situation and extend their full support and cooperation to the lockdown, he said.
Bommai said that decision on extending the lockdown in the state will be announced by Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on May 23.
