Deputy Commissioner Nitesh K Patil chaired a review meeting with the officials after inspecting development works and inspecting the condition of the road, other infrastructure at Vani Vilas Junction, Hosur-Mahadev Javali Girani Road at the HDMC office auditorium on Friday.
He stated that he would review the progress of all development works being carried out in the city once a week online and that the following week he and other senior officers would make city rounds in minibusses to inspect the works. The officials have to come to the meeting and inspections of the work with the files having a record of the implementation of the given instruction to them and the physical progress of the said work, he instructed.
The city is witnessing traffic jams as a result of development projects such as road construction, bridge construction, footpath construction, and UGD, said Police Commissioner Labhu Ram. He said agencies and contractors have to finish all the works within the deadline, and officers of the various departments have to work in tandem, he said, and instructed officials to finish all the works before the commencement of the rainy season.
The DC warned the road contractor who is tasked with developing Karwar Road in the city to finish the work on time or else he would be blacklisted.
HDMC Commissioner Gopal Krishna B, HDSCL MD CW Shakeel Ahamed, and others were present at the meeting.
