Belagavi: Revenue Minister R Ashoka and Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr K Sudhakar will chair a meeting with the officials regarding the new COVID wave threat. After the meeting, the government is likely to issue two separate guidelines, one for Bengaluru and another for the entire state, according to the sources.
In the meeting that begins at 12.30 p.m. at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Belagavi, revenue, police, and health department officials are expected to take part.
Speaking to reporters Revenue Minister R Ashoka said the meeting will focus on how to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus. People should not panic but should follow COVID protocols.
He said the government would discuss the steps but assured that no tough rules would be issued but that guidelines may be issued for the new year’s celebration.
