Dharwad: Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil has directed District Health Officer Dr. BC Karigoudar to submit a report regarding the death of a COVID patient at the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Vedanta Field Hospital, which was allegedly caused by nursing negligence.
In this regard, the DC has directed the DHO to submit a report within 24 hours. A 66-year-old COVID patient died in the ICU at KIMS Vedanta Field Hospital, allegedly as a result of nursing staff carelessness. This death was reported in a few newspapers, and the DC took it seriously, ordering the DHO to file a report.
