Tumkur: Minister of Primary and Secondary Education BC Nagesh said that while the state has over thousands of students in primary and secondary schools, there hasn’t been a single case of Covid positive among them. The administration has placed equal emphasis on students’ education as well as their health.
In Tumkur, the minister addressed the media. Following the outbreak of Covid cases among medical students and at a private school in Bengaluru, media questioned him if the department was considering declaring school holidays. The minister stated that because strict Covid rules are observed in schools and high schools, holidays will not be granted to schools and high schools. But, he stated, whatever decision the technical committee takes it, it would be implemented.
