Following strict Covid protocols at the worksites, the workers are doing the work. “

He said, before the lockdown, around 1100 workers used to work at various work sites now around 450 labours working despite this the works are progressing at a good speed as the HDSCL is utilizing more machines and less human resources.

Labours are being used for some landscaping works in Indira Glass House, Tolankere, and they have been utilising for some drain construction works these apart machines are widely being used in the construction works, said Naregal.

He said the HDSCL is implementing 36 works in the city of which few works are at the final stage such as road development work in the Gokul Road Industrial estate.
