The Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly, Siddaramaiah, slammed Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai for having staff from the two police stations pose for pictures in saffron robes.
The former CM addressed Basavaraj Bommai on a microblogging site, tagging him, “Why have you altered the police officers’ outfits? Give them Trishuls and teach the mantra of violence, and your goal of building a Jungle Raj may come true.”
Vijaypur Rural and Kapu police staff are claimed to have celebrated Ayudh Pooja by donning saffron-coloured costumes, and group photographs of the station staff in saffron-clad shared by Siddaramaiah.
