Hubballi: Congress party workers celebrated former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s birthday in a unique way, they cleaned Indira Canteens established by the then-Siddaramaiah government to provide good quality food to the poor, laborers, and others at a very affordable price.
The party workers cleaned these canteens, which were established in various parts of Hubballi Dharwad. In Dharwad, Congress leader Nagaraj Gouri and his team cleaned the canteens and affixed new posters of the late prime minister. Gouri stated, “The posters were faded, and we noticed it while cleaning the canteen, so these photos were immediately replaced with the new image.”
