Hubballi: The Congress party workers voluntarily collected donations on behalf of Rajat Ullagaddimath, paid the aspirant’s fee to the KPCC, and applied for a ticket to contest the upcoming Karnataka Assembly election from the Hubballi Central constituency.
With this, Rajat Ullagaddimath formally entered the fray. Recently, in a party meeting, opinions were gathered on whether Rajat should contest the upcoming election from the Central constituency, and in that meeting, HDMC members from the constituencies, block committee office bearers, ward presidents, and party workers from 253 booths gave their nod and asked him to contest the election.
Not only did they give the young leader consent to contest the election, but they also collected the prescribed fee that an aspirant has to pay to KPCC for applying to get the party ticket to contest the election; they collected it on behalf of Rajat. The Congress leader did not pay the fee from his pocket.
Rajat, a young and aggressive leader who fought for the betterment of society, has finally entered the fray, and he is expected to get the party ticket to contest the election, says one of the party members.
