Sonia Gandhi, the president of the AICC, approved Basavaraj Gurikar’s candidacy as the party’s candidate for the Karnataka West Teachers’ constituency in the next biennial elections to the state Legislative Council on Wednesday.
Madhu G Madhegowda’s candidacy for the Karnataka South Graduates constituency was approved, according to a press release.
